Free Flash Buttons
Flash Buttons can be used with Macromedia/Adobe Dreamweaver. You'll be able to instantly add dynamic buttons (with your own labels) to your site. Check your Dreamweaver "HELP" files for more information.
Download a button set below, extract it to your local drive and then follow the installation instructions provided (in the ZIP file). The buttons can be used on any colour background.
Install Flash Button to Dreamweaver
These free Flash Button templates have the file extension SWT and can be installed into Macromedia Dreamweaver.
How to Install Flash Button Templates into Dreamweaver
After downloading the Flash Button source files - *.swt to your local hard drive, you need to follow the instructions below so you can customise them in Dreamweaver 4 and above.
- Copy the downloaded .SWT files into the Dreamweaver 4/Configuration/Flash Objects/Flash Buttons folder on your local harddrive.
- Launch Dreamweaver and open an existing web page or create a new web page and save it. (You cannot use the Flash Buttons without saving the page first.)
- Ensure the the Object panel is displayed in Dreamweaver. (Use menu : window / objects option)
- Click the Insert Flash Button icon in the Objects panel. In the list of button styles, the Free Web Theme buttons should now be listed with the same name as the file you just saved to the Flash Buttons folder (step 1).
- Select a template Flash Button by FWT from the list.
- In the Insert Flash Button properties box, enter the text, font, colour, size, links, and so on, in the appropriate fields. For more information on inserting Flash buttons in Dreamweaver, see Using Dreamweaver Help.
- Click OK to insert the customised Flash Button into your web page.
- Preview the page in your browser to see the Flash Button working.
